I have been a technical leader for 40 years, helping companies align and optimize their technical teams to deliver to the strategic needs of the business.

After serving in leadership positions, I decided to leverage this experience through a consultant business where I could follow my passion for efficient technology delivery, engaged teams, and business integration and alignment.

  • April 2022 - April 2024Senior Vice President of Engineering at Magna International

    As Vice President of Global Engineering and Research and Development for Magna’s body and chassis group, I lead a passionate and talented team who is focused on developing the latest technologies in body and chassis structures, assemblies, and battery enclosures. During my time with Magna, I lead the transformation efforts to align and integrate and modernize the advanced development and product engineering teams.
  • October 2016 - April 2022Vice President of Global Engineering at Tenneco

    Global leader responsible for leading all Engineering activities to support market growth. Responsible for managing the global engineering footprint covering 10 engineering sites in 8 countries with over 750 engineers in the planning and product execution of shocks, elastomers, and chassis aftermarket products. Executed the Product Management organizations together to support Life Cycle Management of the product portfolio.
  • February 2007 - October 2016Vice President of Global Product Engineering at Johnson Controls

    Global leader responsible for leading all Engineering activities related to the advanced Li-ion and deep cycling lead acid batteries globally across OE and aftermarket groups. Led the Advanced Battery business in Europe and established the legal structure and leadership team in China. Partnered closely with the advanced engineering and operations team to create better alignment on new plant construction resulting in three flawless launches in China and North America. Took lead in globalizing and aligning regional teams under one product portfolio to support global customer needs.
  • 2006 - 2007Vice President of Business Development at Collins & Aikman

    Led the streamlining and sale of three divisions which represent over $1 billion in assets and $2.5 billion in annual sales after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Oversaw program management and financial control infrastructure during corporate restructuring of an automotive supply company. Assessed and resolved engineering, process, and organizational constraints by developing process improvements and controls.
  • 1993 - 2006Ford Motor Company

    Successful career at spanning several positions expanding both experience and responsibilities. Held positions in Vehicle Engineering, Advanced Chassis, Process Leadership, Launch Management, Quality, and Product Development. I started in Vehicle Engineering and Advanced Chassis where I lead efforts to develop objective testing protocols to capture the fingerprint of new development. Then led major vehicle platform launches in Georgia, Illinois and Ontario Canada responsible for resolving technical and manufacturing issues and managing the ramp-up of the supporting supply-base. My career culminated at Ford as the Chief Engineer for the Escape and Fusion hybrid platforms.
  • 1985-1993Engineer at Vought Aircraft

    Served 8 years responsible for the mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for both advanced aircraft and land-based missile systems. Responsibility included proposal development, design and development, supplier management, and full system testing.
